Margo Anderson’s Tribute to Patsy Cline January 14, 15, 16. This year Margo brings with her The Country Gold Band. They played a date with her this summer and they were wonderful. Margo's clear, powerful voice will captivate you as will her warm, sensitive interpretation of Patsy's down-home wit and timeless songs. They’ll be here for the whole weekend, Friday & Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 3 PM.

January 21 & 22 Fabulous Tribute Artist Todd Alan Herendeen returns with his Follow That Dream Band and ELVIS & Friends Do The DIXIE. If you were lucky enough to experience Elvis is in the Building this summer, then you know you’re in for a real treat when Elvis is joined by Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, Buddy Holly and Linda Ronstadt. Todd and the Band will be performing Friday & Saturday evenings at 8 PM with a special Saturday matinee at 3 PM…simply outstanding!

January 28 Friday at 8 PM brings Lance Wing, Nashville based entertainer, who has written songs for Bobby Vinton, Whisperin' Bill Anderson as well as 2 Grammy winning title cuts for The Jimmy Sturr Orchestra. Hear him sing the classics Nash-Vegas style and his 'Beach Music' recordings; Heat, To A T, Shagtime and Be My Lady.

 

                    

January 29 Saturday at 8 PM The Zach Bartholomew Trio with vocalist Sara de Revere will keep you groovin’ with a smart blend of traditional, classics and originals. Enjoy the full bodied sound of this spectacular innovative Jazz Trio. Smooth never sounded so good.

                               

 

January 30 Sunday at 3 PM The Mayhaws, sweet and thorny, a piquant mix of folk, honky-tonk, soul, bluegrass and old-school country with rockabilly Stooges, traditional hill music to delta blues and a wealth of originals that saunter & swing. You'll shake your tail feathers and remember why they call it folk music.

 

February 4 at 8 PM Pas de Vie Ballet presents Dance at the DIXIE. In its 22nd year, they have progressed from small studio-based performances to packed houses, becoming a vibrant part of Tallahassee's artistic community.  We’re thrilled to have them for an evening of romantic Pas de Duex, a Valentines treat. 

February 9 - 13 Bob Milne returns for his 12th year at the DIXIE…this time around we have him booked for a week! Bob is the top ragtime/boogie-woogie pianist today. He delights audiences with his piano-playing pyrotechnics and his infectious enthusiasm for the music and the history behind the music. Bob's Japan tours have been such a success, he was designated a "Musical Ambassador" by the U.S. State Department. He’s here until Sunday February 13 with matinees on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday at 3 PM and evening performances on Friday & Saturday at 7:30 PM.


February 16 - 27 KIMBERLY AKIMBO a brilliant adult comedy by David Lindsay-Abaire back by popular request. Kimberly is a teenager with a rare condition causing her body to age faster that it should. When she and her family flee Secaucus, NJ under dubious circumstances, she is forced to reevaluate her life while contending with a hypochondriac mother, a rarely sober father, a scam-artist aunt, her own mortality and, most terrifying of all, the possibility of first love. The New York Times says
"...haunting and hilarious..." "It's a bit of youthful happiness unlike any other" – Associated Press "...theatre at its most original." – New York 1 "A wacky, touching and totally charming dark comedy that gives a whole new meaning to 'coming of age story'" The New York Daily News "There have been many dark comedies about dysfunctional families, but this is one of the funniest."  - The Los Angeles Times KIMBERLY AKIMBO runs Wednesday February 16 thru Sunday February 27 with Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday matinees at 3 PM and Friday & Saturdays at 8 PM.

 

March brings music like nobody’s business with Del Suggs starting us out on Friday March 4 at 8 PM. Del is one of Florida's premier performers and best known for his unique style, which he calls "saltwater music."  Acoustic rock, pop, blues, and folk...with a sunburn!

 

 

 

 

 

 

March 5 Pawrdi Gras, this new event will benefit the Franklin County Animal Shelter and a new dog park in Apalachicola. Come Pawrdi at the DIXIE with your Best Friend!

 

 

 


March 11 & 12 Friday & Saturday at 8 PM The DIXIE Does Nashville 8, one of our most beloved music series. Once again Universal Music Publishing Nashville brings their finest, most talented writers to the DIXIE to perform the hits they wrote for music legends like George Strait, The Dixie Chicks, Kenny Rogers, Rascal Flats, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, to name a few...don't miss these extraordinary, magical evenings.

 

March 18 Friday at 8 PM The Ned Devines, come celebrate St. Patrick in style with the best Irish Music on the Forgotten Coast. Traditional & original tunes, Irish step dancing and loads of fun...blarney!

 

 

On Saturday at 8 PM on March 19 Big Daddy & Red Hot Java. Randall "Big Daddy" Webster is indeed the King of Blues and we made sure you found that out last season when he graced the DIXIE stage. This time out he brings Red Hot Java with him...you won't want the night to end.
